Alchelements

You, the Great Alchemist,  have made it your quest to discover all elements and first and foremost discover the coveted element Gold.

There are 6 elements (different colored squares): 

Each element has an unknown number of protons and  energy associated with it.  Letting two of them react which each other will reorganize the protons into new elements and release or absorb energy What products come out of a reaction is determined by four rules:  

1.  each reaction is between only two elements (two copies of the same element is possible)
2. the total amount of protons stays the same
3.  there is a maximum of three reaction products
4.  if there exist a set of products with total lower energy, then the set of products with the lowest energy will be created
5.  if there isn't a set of products with total lower energy, then nothing happens unless enough energy is provided by other reactions. The products with a total energy closest to, but lower than, the energy available will  be created.  

The numbers at the intersection indicate which reactions happens first.

HINT: By  only doing one reaction and dying, you can find out what energy is released if any 

CONTROLS:

•  ARROWS  : select cell 
• SPACE : change element
• WASD : put arrow between cells to prepare a reaction between them, the direction is the direction of the reaction products 
• ENTER :   set in motion all reactions

GOAL: 

• Minimize collateral damage due to high energy nuclear explosions
• Discover as many elements as possible and earn eternal fame by discovering Gold'
